Willoughby Golf Club is a Private, 18 hole golf course located in Stuart, Florida.
The Willoughby Golf Club golf course first opened for play in 1989. The course was designed by Arthur Hills.
Arthur Hills designed the Willoughby course with four sets of tees to make sure both men and women golfers are suitably challenged. From the championship tees used in US Open qualifiers, the course plays to 6,731 yards between towering trees and natural wetlands, over unfriendly lakes and around more than 55 bunkers. In keeping with the Arthur Hills tradition, Willoughby is carved out of the natural surroundings and makes abundant use of all available flora, hillocks, and swales to create a most picturesque golf course.
The Willoughby Golf Club golf course is a shot-maker's delight. It is a very tight course that features water hazards coming into play on ten holes. The fast greens are medium-sized, undulating, and true.
Willoughby plays to a par-72 and a maximum distance of 6,731 yards. The course rating is 72.9 and the slope rating is 132.
Willoughby also has a six-acre, world-class practice facility including a distance programmed driving range, putting and chipping areas and a special wedge and sand iron area for short game refinement.
